Miami Dolphins at Washington Commanders – Pre-season Week 1
Jeff Hafley takes charge of his first Miami Dolphins fixture when his side take on the Washington Commanders on the road
Miami looks to bring toughness and physicality with the excitement of starting the preseason. With the team being young, I want to reiterate that this is game one: new coach, new GM, new QB, new system. We fans must have two sides, hopeful and realistic.
This Friday, expect vanilla offense and defense. From what happened on Wednesday, the coaches are throwing the players in the sink or swim and not scheming the team to victory. Sit back and relax for this game, Football is back, boys!
Kickoff: Friday, 08/14/2026, 6 PM CMT/7PM ET/00:00 GMT |
Venue: Northwest Stadium, Summerfield
Weather Report: High 80 Temp | Scattered Clouds, Light Wind | 50% Humidity
Injury Report:
PUP: CB Storm Duck, CB Darrell Baker, WR Chris Bell
Projected misses: DT Zach Seiler, WR Kevin Colman Jr., OL Jamaree Salyer, TE Ben Simms, DL Clelin Ferrel, CB JuJu Brents, SF Dante Trader, K Zane Gonzalez, TE Greg Dulcich, SF Lonnie Johnson Jr, OL Caedan Wallace, CB Chris Johnson,
Players to Watch/Key players:
Dolphins: Let’s be honest with each other; We want the offense and defense to play in the game for the opening couple of drives. That means all the first team offense and defense are players to watch.
As for key players: Caleb Douglas, Tyrel Dodson, Kaden Proctor, and Jaylen Wright. These four players will prove that the coaches and the FO can keep/draft/develop players into being above average.
Prediction:
For the preseason, and after all the talks of keeping things even keel and expectations low
28-0 Miami wins!!!
